Buffalo Grove | | Buffalo Grove: Parking Violations in Buffalo GroveCan you park overnight on Buffalo Grove streets?
The short answer is NO.
What happens when you get a parking violation in Buffalo Grove?
If this is a Metra parking fee, see Metra Parking below.
Otherwise the citation will likely ask you to go to the Lake County Circuit Court in Waukegan, even when the violation
happens in Cook County.
However the Daily Herald reported that in early 2014 Buffalo Grove is
discussing a change to use a village hearing officer. -- From Village of Buffalo Grove Last update: 09/25/14 |

City of Chicago | | City of Chicago: Handicap Parking In ChicagoIf you have yellow-and gray-placard, you don't need to feed the meters.
With a blue-and-white placard, you can park at disabled parking spaces
but you do have to pay the meter. Apply for a placard via the Illinois
Secretary of State.
The City of Chicago also has the Residential Disabled Parking
program which allows disabled residents to reserve space in front of their residences. -- From City of Chicago Last update: 09/27/14 |

 | | | City of Chicago: Parking In Chicago For VisitorsYou can park for free on Chicago streets if it is not prohibited.
And there are many prohibitions, so read the signs,
and check these tips.
Many residential streets restrict parking to people living in the area and their guests.
If you can be a guest, ask your host to purchase Residential Parking Daily Permits ($8.00 for 15 permits).
Besides free parking, this is the cheapest option.
For hourly parking, you can park on streets with a meter or paybox. The closer you are to
the Loop area, the higher the cost ($6.50 vs $2.00 per hour in the outer area).
Find metered parking here.
If you need to park a little longer, your best choice in Chicago is to find a
parking garage. All day parking will
cost over $30, but most garages have hourly, early-bird, evening and discount rates,
especially with nearby attractions.
Are you staying in a hotel in downtown Chicago? Expect to pay
from $50 to over $60
for an overnight parking with in and out privileges. There is one gem exception,
the Best Western River North -- it is
located in the heart of the Loop, and is the only downtown hotel with FREE parking.
If you are willing to stay farther from the Loop, you have other free parking options. Last update: 09/27/14 |

 | | | City of Chicago: Parking At Chicago AttractionsWhere to park at attractions that Chicago is famous for?
First check the web site of the attraction for parking information.
This is the most convenient, but usually it is not cheap,
and may not be the most efficient. Parking at some walking distance
can cost less (and sometimes is free), and you may avoid the exit traffic.
